PSHE

At Kellington Primary School, our young people are equipped with the skills required to thrive and flourish, both at school and beyond. By providing a rich and enhanced PSHE curriculum, we strive to actively celebrate and support our children as they develop their strength of character, individuality and understanding of their role and rights within the community. In an ever–changing world, it is important that they are aware of different factors which will affect their world and learn how to deal with these so that mental health and well-being are promoted and protected.

The progressive spiral curriculum results in the acquisition of knowledge and skills and enables our children to access the wider curriculum, preparing them to be a global citizen now and in their future. Our Relationships and Sex Education enables our children to learn how to be safe, and to understand and develop healthy relationships, both now and in their future lives. We promote the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of pupils, preparing them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.

We further enhance our PSHE curriculum with fundamental British values learning and wider experiences to ensure our children develop an understanding of a world outside of Kellington and our immediate community.
